WHO IS HIDAYET ŞİMŞEK?

 

Veterinarian Hidayet Şimşek was born in Isparta in 1979. He graduated from Şarkikaraağaç Veterinary Health Vocational High School and then continued his education at Ankara University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, graduating as a veterinarian in 2000. He completed his master's degree at Antalya Bilim University in 2018 and added an MBA to his academic career. After working as a civil servant at the Ardahan Göle District Directorate of Agriculture between 1996 and 2002, he served as a veterinary instructor at the Veterinary SML between 2002 and 2004. After leaving civil service, he continued working as a veterinary clinician and founded Hasvet Medical Limited Company in 2009.

Hasvet Medical was established in 2009 for the import and sale of medical devices. Following this, he acquired E-vet Software Inc. in 2012 and Safir Surgical Hand Tools Inc. in 2015. The companies were established and began operating under the umbrella of Hasvet Inc.

Hidayet Şimşek has undertaken numerous achievements and projects aimed at the development of his sector and livestock farming in Turkey. His Datavet project was awarded the "Process Innovation Award" in a competition held as part of the ATSO Innovation Year in 2017.

  • Vet-Mim, in the field of turnkey veterinary clinic applications, has brought the brands to the veterinary sector.

HASVET ACADEMY and VETTALKS organizations continue to support continuing education in veterinary medicine.

Hasvet RATEM (Radiology Diagnostic and Training Center) was established in Istanbul and is now available to veterinarians, offering facilities including MRI, CT, ultrasonography, lithotripsy, hemodiafiltration, EEG-EMG, pathology, endoscopy, radiography, laboratory, and hands-on training.

Hidayet Şimşek, aiming to create added value by expanding his services internationally, established Hasvet Baku International Animal Hospital, which has become a regional hospital in Azerbaijan, laying the foundations for the veterinary healthcare ecosystem he established in Turkey. He also continued his international growth by opening Hasvet PG International Animal Hospital in Podgorica, Montenegro, on December 4, 2024. To expand the Hasvet Ecosystem to Europe, he launched his German office, based in Hessen. In 2025, the Florida-based Hasvet USA office was opened. Finally, Hasvet Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, a company that has believed in the power of education since its inception and has realized its most cherished dream, was established in conjunction with Khazar University, one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in the Caucasus, located in Baku, Azerbaijan.

As of July 2024, Hasvet A.Ş. acquired Vilsan İlaç. With this development, Hasvet continues to operate in two main sectors: medical and pharmaceutical. Hasvet Medical supports the practices of veterinarians by offering a wide range of products, including veterinary clinical equipment, surgical instruments, and laboratory devices. Hasvet Pharma, with its strong brand heritage and sterile production experience, reinforces its leadership in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry with high quality standards and an innovation-oriented approach. This expansion into the medical and pharmaceutical sectors has increased Hasvet's influence in the veterinary healthcare sector on a global scale.

Hasvet RATEM Ankara was officially opened on May 30, 2025.

Married and father of two, veterinarian Hidayet Şimşek is Vice Chairman of the Pet Food Association (PETFA), a member of the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (VİSAD), a member of the Antalya Young Businessmen Association (ANTGİAD), and a representative of the Antalya City Council Health Working Group. He continues to invest both domestically and internationally to elevate our sector to global standards.
